didn't work for me. I think my temperature was off for the water bath. I'll have to get a food thermometer and try again. It smelled so delicious, though!

Finished Rolls

Well, I guess they were a hit! Not one of the kids left a crumb on their plates.

Homemaker me

Today, I am trying my hand at a couple of homemade goodies.
First we have cinnamon rolls...

It took a few steps, and I made a bit of a mess...but they look promising. They are doing their final rise.

Then we have the homemade yogurt.
I'll have to tell you more about it after I finish, because this was kind of a stretch for me. If you want to try it before my results are in, you can go to Money Saving Mommies to get the "how to".

Hopefully, these work out sucessfully. I can see doing this kind of thing more often.

Our newest sons...I forgot to mention them. We have inadvertently ended up with two new "kids". Max & Muffin. All I can say is I did it for the kids :)

Welcome back from the weekend

Ah, weekends in the summer. Aren't they the best? Then...screeching back to the Monday morning reality. You've got to get up. You've got to do laundry. Cleaning has to happen at some point. Your kids are acting like the most irritable creatures on Earth. Yes, it is Monday:)

One child's Nintendo DS isn't working (because he messed it up). Therefore it is "SO UNFAIR" that his sister can play her own since he can't play his. Yeah. And forget letting her share his games. If he can't play it, then no one can. I am going to remind him of that the next time he wants to borrow her stuff.

It's fixed!

Shortly after my last post here...the "repairman" came in and said he was done. It cooled off nicely. Praise God for air conditioning!

Ok, so I know the photo is hard to read...but it says 85. That was around 3 pm. If I were to go take an updated shot, it would have jumped to 91. That is what happens when your air conditioner goes on the fritz. (Since last night). Fortunately, we think the problem is a fairly inexpensive fix...hopefully the repairman(Mr Snippity) will have it done shortly. Also, a huge blessing is that we have two air units. The one for the main part of the house is the one that broke. The one in the addition is pumping extra hard, but that means we were relatively comfortable in the playroom today!
